大赛与评选
初赛和复赛的评委来自于史密斯商学院的教授、工作人员以及MBA的学生。决赛的评委将是专注于中国市场的风险投资公司的专家。

初赛:
参赛者应在截止时间 前提交两页的执行摘要, 摘要超过两页将视为无效。初赛的评判完全取决于小组的执行摘要。每一份摘要将根据 以上七个标准进行打分评判。评委将在复赛中审 查完整的商业计划
复赛:
复赛选手将在2007年2月15号接到录取通知。复赛者应提交完整的计划书。计划书不能超过25页,且应于2007年3月30号 前提交。
决赛:
决赛选手将在2007年4月15日接到录取通知。希望每位中国区决赛选手都能出席决赛。决赛规定有15分钟的演讲,演讲后有10分钟问答时间。决赛将评出优胜者。评审将根据赛前制订的评判标准, 选手回答提问时的表现,以及参赛者对实施商业计划的信心评选出最后的优胜者。奖项将在竞赛后的招待会上颁发。所有评判是最终结果。
决赛将于2007年6月举行
Competition & Judging
First and second round judges in the Win in China - Smith Business Plan Competition will be members of the 'Win in China' and Smith community and include faculty and staff.
The final round judges will include representatives of venture capital firms from the United States and China that are focused on the Chinese market.
Entries will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
Clarity
Conciseness
Completeness
Feasibility of the business plan
Management's ability to execute
Value proposition
Competitive positioning
The First Round:
A two-page executive summary in English must be submitted at the time of registration. Summaries that exceed two pages will be disqualified. The first round of judging is based entirely upon the team's executive summary. Each summary will be scored on the seven components listed above. Registration ends on January 1, 2007. Judges will review entire business plan during the second round.
The Second Round:
All second round competitors will be notified by February 15, 2007. A full business plan of no more than 25 pages must be submitted by March 30, 2007.
The Finals Round:
All finalists will be notified by April 16, 2007. It is expected that each finalist will be present in China for the final round presentations. Each finalist will make a 15-minute presentation including a 10-minute question and answer period following the presentation.
The final round judges will decide the winners. Decisions will be based upon the defined criteria as well as the ability to respond to questions posed by the judges. Judges will also determine the awards based on their confidence in the management team's ability to implement the business plan described. Awards will be distributed at the networking reception following the competition. All decisions are final. The finals will be held in June 2007 at a location to be determined.
Prizes:
Cash prizes will total $50,000 awarded to the top three winning teams.
1st prize: $25,000
2nd prize: $15,000
3rd prize: $10,000
Grand prizes will be awarded to the top eight teams. One team member from each grand prize winning team will be awarded a two-week, all expenses paid trip to the Smith School's Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship in the United States for training with Smith's world-class professors. The training will focus on entrepreneurship and will include individual coaching, specialized courses and presentations, and visits to local science parks and incubators.
